You have proven yourself time and time again as a competent leader. You bear the burden of an entire pack and your life is stressful. Your work is never finished and you have little time for the finer things in life. You rely heavily on your beta and are responsible for leading, protecting and organizing the pack. You must know everything about everyone and make it your passion to ensure that the pack is running smoothly. Alphena/Alphess/Queen You are the Alpha’s chosen mate unless you managed to fight your way to the top of the pack. Like the Alpha you bear the burden of the whole pack. Your life is stressful and when she bares pups, the Beta female, or next highest rank female takes over her position while the Alphena cares for and raises the pups, or if she does chose so she will name one female as Care Taker and she will tend and care for the Alphas' offspring. Generally the Alphena deals with the more menial aspects of pack life, ensuring that the pack is harmonious and works well together. Beta Taken - Devrie You are second in command only to the alpha. You are both the best friend of the Alpha and most loyal and trustworthy pack member. You are responsible for ensuring the pack's boarders remain protected and co-ordinate the Head Warrior and Lead Scout to ensure they are on the same page. You help with battle strategies and work closely with the Alpha, handling the tasks he can’t get to straight away. Betan Taken - Ciel You are either the mate of the pack's beta, chosen in your own right, or the best friend of the Alphess. If you are not the mate of the Beta – if there is one – you will probably experience a lot of pressure to become mates. As Betan you are responsible for coordinating the pack hunts and work closely with the Head Hunter to ensure a plentiful supply of food. You are loyal to your pack and may be expected to carry out the duties of the Alphena in her absence. You are also responsible to meet and greet new members to the pack. ||High Ranks|| Healer Taken - Character not introduced yet You are responsible for the health of the pack. You spend your days traveling great distance to obtain the plants you need, experimenting with new remedies or discovering the properties of new specimens. You are expected to know your plants, flowers, barks, bushes and berries. Unlimited positions. Warrior/Solider You are the unit of fighters. You patrol the boarders and follow the scent of loners that cross too close to the pack boarders and ensure that they are not hovering around. You follow the Head Warrior with unwavering loyalty and work closely with the scouts. If there is an attack it is your job to defend the pack. You are trained in the art of fighting, killing and defending. You rally the pack in times of battle. Unlimited Positions ||Lower Ranks|| Hunter You have a keen sense of smell and a knack for hunting. You must know how to hunt all kinds of prey and be able to work well with the other hunters in the pack. You must work together if you want to take down the larger prey. The pack looks to you for food and you are often stalking herds and keeping track of their movements and patterns. Unlimited Positions. Scout You spend a lot of time patrolling the boarders with the warriors. You rarely patrol on your own. You are the fastest members of the pack and are often sent out to spy on other packs, relay messages between members from different packs and can be sent on errands by the Healers to locate certain plants and bring them back. You’re rank is dangerous, but only if you can’t run fast and tread silently through the forest. Unlimited Positions. Apprentice You are between 8 months an 2 years old. You have chosen the path that suits you best, and will now go through the process of being given a mentor and ameliorating your talent in any of the higher ranks. Once you reach your Adult years you ascend to the rank of your teacher, though don’t hold the position until your teacher retires. You are expected to dedicate your lives to your future position. Your days are often spent handling menial tasks for your teacher and you often miss out on the adventures that others around you are having. You are placed under higher expectations and were chosen for a reason. Good Luck. You’ll need it. ||Un-Ranked|| Un-ranked Teen You are no longer a pup and yet you still have no rank. Spend the next few months of your life working to discover your talents. The alpha’s will choose your rank for you, so prove yourself to them and work hard. Your days are spent making mistakes and learning about life with in the pack. Don’t worry, you’ll be ranked one day, but for now, enjoy the freedom. Unlimited Positions. Whelp You’re a youngster. You spend your days waiting to grow up and learning about the world. You were either born to the pack or were abandoned by your sire and dam and somehow managed to beat the odds and find a pack to care for you. Unlimited Positions.
